Astrae Oratio is set in a world where magic exists, taking place in a fictional version of Tokyo in 1889. The story follows a protagonist who is suddenly assigned to a mysterious administrative body called the Special District Office. Based on what has been shown so far, the game features 3D turn-based battles, while its story is told through visual novel style sections that include dialogue choices.
The project was first revealed last April under the codename Project AT. Since then, the developers have gradually shared more details about the game’s world and characters. The opening of beta applications suggests that development has reached a stage where the team is ready to let players try the game for themselves. Those interested in joining the Astrae Oratio Closed Beta Test will need to submit their application within the given window in August and September, ahead of further updates on when testing will actually begin.
