NC has announced that applications for the closed beta test of Astrae Oratio, the upcoming anime RPG from developer Dynamis One, will open in August 2026. The publisher shared the update on July 17, noting that more details about the beta schedule and how players can apply will be shared at a later date.
The announcement comes less than a month after NC revealed its publishing partnership with Dynamis One, marking the company’s continued expansion beyond its MMORPG lineup into a character-focused anime RPG. Since the game’s cast and setting were first introduced earlier this year, the developers have kept up a steady stream of character reveals, teaser artwork, comics, and setting details ahead of launch.

Astrae Oratio is set in a fantasy version of Tokyo where magic has become part of everyday government administration. Instead of casting players as a powerful mage, the story follows the “Shunin,” an ordinary civil servant tasked with handling the administrative side of the magical community. The world is built around wizard-controlled territories run through bureaucratic systems, giving the game a setup that stands apart from most fantasy RPGs.
NC also confirmed that Astrae Oratio will be featured at Comic Market 108 (Comiket 108) in August. The company’s booth will debut the game’s official art book along with a range of merchandise, and attendees will be able to take part in a special event at the booth. NC stated that Comiket 108 will serve as the starting point for broader plans to showcase the game at further events going forward.
