It has been quite a while, but we finally have a new horse girl who is naturally adept in the short distance, and with a little tweak, can be also be fielded for the mile tracks. Hishi Akebono is a leader by default, although you can easily make her into a runner as well. With that in mind, her skillsets mean that you will want to run her as a leader since she gets Big Eater.

The positioning ability is nothing to write home about, but she has a leader acceleration ability, so that is something to consider. As for her unique character ability, it grants both speed and acceleration provided that she is placed between third and below but at the top 50% of the pack in the middle portion of the track with 70% of her stamina remaining. While it sounds like there are many conditions to be met, the reality is that as long as you use Hishi Akebono as a leader against several other runners, she is more than likely to proc the skill.
