Atlus has officially announced Persona 6, the next entry in its long-running RPG series. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via both Steam and the Microsoft Store. The announcement was made during the Xbox Games Showcase. No release date has been given yet.
Persona 6 will feature a brand new standalone story, meaning players won’t need to have played any previous game in the series to jump in. Atlus describes it as blending everyday life with a supernatural adventure, which lines up with what the series has always been known for.

In their own words, Atlus says the game is meant for both newcomers and longtime fans, describing it as “your first Persona game or you’ve been here since the beginning, this one’s for you.”
The game marks the next major chapter following Persona 5, which became a massive hit and helped bring the series to a much wider audience. Persona 6 continuing onto Xbox Series platforms is also notable, as previous mainline entries in the series had been PlayStation exclusives for years before eventually making their way to other platforms.
For now, details beyond the initial announcement remain limited. Atlus has not shared information on the story, characters, or a launch window. More details are expected to follow in the coming months.
