Nintendo’s new life simulation game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has taken the top spot on Japan’s physical game charts in a big way, selling 565,405 copies in just its first few days on sale. According to Famitsu’s weekly sales data, the Switch 2 title moved those copies between its April 16 release date and the end of the chart period on April 19. That figure puts it far ahead of every other game in the top 10.

The second place game, PRAGMATA on PS5, sold 36,470 copies in the same period as a new entry. The Switch 2 version of PRAGMATA did not make the top 10 in Japan. Pokémon Pokopia came in at third with around 19,000 copies sold last week, pushing its lifetime physical total in Japan to 910,000 copies. Mario Kart World holds fourth place with 5,130 physical copies sold last week and remains the Switch 2’s best-selling game overall with 2.9 million copies sold, which includes digital copies that came bundled with the Switch 2 hardware.
