Dinkum has officially launched on Nintendo Switch 2, with publisher KRAFTON and developer James Bendon confirming availability via the Nintendo eShop. Importantly, players who own the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition at no additional cost.
At the same time, the PC version of Dinkum on Steam has received a major update titled “The Great Bite.” This release celebrates the game’s first anniversary since its full launch.
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Brings Free Upgrade Support

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Dinkum introduces the life simulation experience to Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. In addition, KRAFTON confirmed that the upgrade is free for existing Nintendo Switch players, allowing a seamless transition to the enhanced version.
Dinkum creator James Bendon shared that releasing the game on a Nintendo platform is personally meaningful. He also noted that the community continues to shape the game’s ongoing evolution through creativity and feedback.
Meanwhile, the “Animal Tracks” update has also been released for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, ensuring content parity across both platforms.
The Great Bite Update Expands Dinkum on Steam

To mark its first anniversary on Steam, Dinkum has received the “The Great Bite” update. This update introduces a new explorable destination featuring cliffs, varied terrain, and new plant life.
Players can now explore a more vertical and dynamic environment. Additionally, restored lighthouses reveal nearby treasure locations on the map, adding a new layer to exploration and progression.
The update also includes new decorative items, collectibles, and vehicles. Furthermore, it expands customization options with new facial accessories and the Swag Pack system.
New Quality-of-Life Features Improve Gameplay Flow

The “The Great Bite” update also introduces several quality-of-life improvements. One of the most notable additions is the Servo system, which allows players to summon vehicles from anywhere on the map.
As a result, traversal becomes faster and more flexible. In addition, new customization tools give players more control over character appearance and personal style.
These improvements aim to refine long-term gameplay while supporting both new and returning players.
Limited-Time Anniversary Event Now Live

To celebrate Dinkum’s first anniversary on Steam, a limited-time event is currently active. Until May 7, players who sell fish to John’s Goods will receive special commemorative tickets.
These tickets can be exchanged for exclusive items. Therefore, players are encouraged to participate before the event ends.
Continued Expansion Across Platforms

With the launch of Dinkum on Nintendo Switch 2 and the release of “The Great Bite” update on PC, the game continues to grow across platforms. The combination of free upgrades, new content, and seasonal events highlights KRAFTON’s ongoing support for the title.
As development continues, Dinkum is expected to receive further updates that expand its world and gameplay systems across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
