Anime Fest+ has returned to the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, running from April 18 to 19, 2026. True to form, the event brought together its signature mix of the Art Market, Cosplay Market, and a packed exhibition hall with a strong guest lineup adding extra pull for fans who made the trip.

Stage Highlights: VTubers and Overseas Cosplayers
Day 1 on the Yin Yong Stage opened with a hololive Meet featuring hololive Indonesia’s 1st Generation at noon, giving local fans a chance to spend time with the talents in a live setting. The afternoon followed with a NIJISANJI Panel at 3 PM featuring Vantacrow Bringer and Freodore, which drew in the VTuber crowd for what was described as a lively session.

Over at the MI Stage, the spotlight fell on two cosplayers from China with Yuri Majyo (百合欧皇子) and WeianVann_cosplay who held a Q&A session with attendees. For Yuri Majyo, the event marked her first ever visit to Malaysia. WeianVann, on the other hand, was making her fourth trip to the country, and the reception from the crowd reflected just how well-known she has become among local fans.

Day 2 is set to bring overseas cosplayer Towa to the main stage. Fans will also get to meet guests at a meet & greet at Coffytiam for a more up-close experience. Closing out the weekend is the Needy Girl Overdose Panel, featuring the game’s Satsuki Shiina, nyalra, and Yoshitaka Kimura who has a notable addition for followers of the cult-hit title.
What Was on the Exhibition Floor
The exhibition hall had a wide spread of booths covering games, anime franchises, merchandise, and card games.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke ran a dedicated pop-up store at Booth A01, while Not Only Toy at A02 featured a Jujutsu Kaisen showcase. A collaboration between Yogoods and Wuthering Waves Lullaby at A05 gave Wuwa fans a themed booth to check out. The Re:Zero Pop Up at A49 was another franchise-specific stop that saw steady traffic throughout the day.

Card game fans had their own corner to explore, with Grand Archive TCG (A25), Bushiroad (A47), and Ace Cards & Collectibles (A21) grouped together. Grand Archive, a locally grown TCG, shared floor space with the more established Bushiroad which showcased a visible sign of its growing presence in the community.

For general anime merchandise, booths like Sunrisepop (A07), Oh! Gatcha (A09), Gachaponpon (A23), Anime Hub (A61), XD Shop (A69), Ani Honbu (A37), and Muse 木棉花 (A65) gave attendees plenty to browse through.

On the practical side of things, a Pizza Hut booth (A78) was available on the floor for anyone needing a food break, and Karaoke Manekineko (A80) offered a more unexpected way to take a breather between rounds of shopping.
For anyone heading in on either day, there’s still plenty to catch before the weekend wraps up.
