Saber Interactive announced a new John Wick game for PlayStation 5 during February’s State of Play presentation. The game’s official title and release date have not been shared yet, with those details coming at a later time.
Jesus Iglesias, Game Director at Saber Interactive, revealed that the studio is working with John Wick director Chad Stahelski, actor Keanu Reeves, and Lionsgate to create the game. The project will take place during a specific period within the John Wick timeline and adds to the franchise’s existing story.
The game features an original story developed with Saber’s writers, Stahelski, and Lionsgate. It focuses on a significant time in John Wick’s life and includes both well-known characters from the films and new characters created for the game.
Saber Interactive is bringing several elements from the movies into the game, including the franchise’s distinct camerawork, bold environments, gun-fu combat style, and driving sequences. The studio is building a new combat system from the ground up to match the fighting style seen in the John Wick films.

According to Iglesias, the team aims to create an experience that blurs the line between movies and video games. The game will feature neo-noir environments and detailed locations that players can visit during missions. Players will take on the role of John Wick himself, with mechanics designed to make them feel like they’re inside a John Wick movie.
The untitled John Wick game is currently in development exclusively for PlayStation 5.
