Shift Up has released new data confirming Stellar Blade is now Sony’s most successful single-player PlayStation IP launch on PC. The update came through the studio’s latest investor presentation.

A Major Milestone for Eve’s Journey
Stellar Blade launched on PS5 first, following Sony’s usual strategy. However, the game found a much larger audience once it arrived on PC. According to Shift Up, it is now the best-selling PlayStation-exclusive launch IP in history.

This likely excludes Helldivers 2 due to its live-service focus. The studio also stated that Stellar Blade outsold every major PlayStation PC port. This includes Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us.
Peak Numbers That Surpass Every PlayStation PC Port
One standout figure is its 192,000 peak concurrent players on Steam. This is an impressive number for a single-player action game. It is also almost 2.5 times higher than Ghost of Tsushima’s 77,000 peak.

Behind them are God of War with 73,000 players, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us. None of these titles come close to Stellar Blade’s explosive debut.
Over 3 Million Copies Sold Across PS5 and PC

Shift Up reported that sales across both platforms have already pushed the game past 3 million copies. This figure only reflects the first five days of the PC release, so the actual total is much higher now. The game’s momentum shows how strongly it resonated with PC players. Mod support may have helped, although Shift Up did not comment on it.
Stellar Blade 2 Already in Development

Due to the game’s success, Shift Up is now working on Stellar Blade 2. A new recruitment post suggests the sequel may launch on multiple platforms at the same time. This would avoid the timed exclusivity seen with the original release. Considering the strong PC turnout, this move would not be surprising.
A Huge Win for Sony and Shift Up
Stellar Blade continues to perform well on both PS5 and PC. Its success also highlights the more modest results seen from other PlayStation single-player ports. Even so, Sony benefits greatly from this breakout hit.

With a sequel underway and a growing fanbase, Stellar Blade is quickly becoming one of PlayStation’s most important new franchises. For more updates on the game, follow their official X account.
