Bandai Namco has released detailed information about Tales of Berseria Remastered, revealing that the game will use the internationally released version rather than the original Japanese release. The Steam page has also confirmed that D.A.G Inc. is developing the remaster.
When Tales of Berseria originally launched in Western markets in 2017, Bandai Namco made adjustments to secure a PEGI 16+ rating in Europe. Since the remaster is planned as a worldwide simultaneous release in 2026, the company is using the same version across all regions.

The main change involves an early story scene where the character Laphicet is impaled by Artorius. In the 2016 Japanese release, the scene showed Artorius’ blade directly. The 2017 Western release changed this to show a cross-shaped energy burst instead. The remaster will use this altered version.
Tales of Berseria Remastered will come with all previously released downloadable content from the internationally released version. Here’s what players can expect:
- Summer Vacation Outfits
- Pirate Outfits
- School Uniform Sets
- Maid & Butler Outfits
- Japanese-Style Outfits
- Fairytale and Magic Troupe Outfits
- Legacy Tales Character Outfits
The DLC package also includes a Mieu set from Tales of the Abyss, rare board sets, angel wing accessories, character doll sets, various hairstyle attachments, adventure item packs, growth herb sets for stat increases, and 17 extra chat episodes (extended character conversations). Tales of Berseria Remastered is scheduled for release in 2026 as a worldwide simultaneous launch.
