Thankfully, while many gacha games are clamping down on reroll accounts, the same can’t be said for Harry Potter : Magic Awakened. The game has a built-in reroll feature, letting you basically choose one of 5 Legendary cards to add to your collection.

You can access this reroll banner the moment you spend your first gold key, and it’s an unlimited reroll. That being said, you may be wondering just which one of these is the game-breaking card, come to make you the god of wizard duels and story events.

Never fear, though, as we’ve got the lowdown on which of these cards you should reroll and aim for when you’re putting together your deck in Harry Potter Magic Awakened:

S-Tier

While not incredibly broken, S-tier here is defined by utility- an ability to synergize with other cards, and having abilities that would hypothetically always see use in any encounter.

Piertotum Locomotor

Piertotum Locomotor is a very solid card, summoning two soldiers with taunt. Taunting in Harry Potter Magic Awakened is pretty strong, since on top of drawing attention the cards take laughably reduced incoming damage. Considering how many of the lower-cost cards involve summoning creatures, Piertotum Locomotor is a good way to keep creeps off your character. Don’t forget it also stacks with the Bombtastic Bomb Box, buffing their slow speed and doing good AOE damage.

A-Tier

A tier cards are generally considered good, but not necessarily must-picks. They usually have one glaring setback, but not enough to ruin choosing the card altogether.

Thunderstorm

Thunderstorm is another good AoE card, having the potential to punish enemies who overuse summons by attacking every target on the board. In the early game its Heal Reduction ability isn’t entirely relevant, but wizards who use cards like the spiders will find themselves hard countered since Thunderstorm gains power the more targets it has. That being said, the random selection is what really holds back the card, since you lose the ability to snipe out specific problem creatures. That being said the difference between it and Piertotum in terms of utility is really philosophical, since Thunderstorm could help you deal with enemy creatures much faster by simply ensuring there are no more creatures on the board.

Orb Of Water

Orb of Water is another really great crowd control tool, and one that synergizes with your wizard themselves since you can move the orb to collect more targets. While not immediate the high damage payoff is a good way to clear out swarms, and its main setback instead comes from requiring you to stop whatever else you’re doing and control your wizard.

Antipodean Opaleye

A very straightforward card, this is just good AoE damage. It doesn’t combo off much, which makes it a strong tool for hail mary plays. As with most AoEs it’s best for stopping creature spam, though for 6 cost you kind of wish it would do a little bit more.

B-Tier

B-Tier cards don’t excel at anything, and on top of that also have some pretty glaring weaknesses. I don’t think they’re the worst, but there’s definitely no clear advantage to them compared to anything else.

Malfoy Gang [Throwback]

This card summons Draco Malfoy, Crab and Goyle, and is good for hitting your opponent’s front row. That being said in terms of health pool they count as one character, since the other two will high-tail it when one goes down.
