Content Creators Plan To Hold #savetf2 Peaceful Online Protest

Classic online multiplayer FPS Team Fortress 2 (TF2) hasn’t been doing well nowadays, this had led to several content creators who are fans of the game to hold a peaceful protest, starting the trending hashtag ‘#SAVETF2’.

Many TF2 fans have remarked that the game is currently near unplayable due to a problem of bots and hackers overrunning the game. So far Valve has done little to nothing to attempt to fix the problem.

In order to get the word out about the game’s problems, content creators wish to hold an online social media protest to send a message to Valve. Save Team Fortress 2 and make it playable for users to enjoy.

The starters of the movement have stressed that protestors should not harass or send hate to Valve even giving examples of the type of comments that should be posted.

Team Fortress 2 was first launched in 2007 and quickly became of the most popular games Valve has ever published. The title would be the forerunner of the class/hero shooter genre that games like Overwatch would later evolve from.

It was also a big part of the late 2000s/early 2010s internet culture thanks to its large modding community. The nine classes were memorable characters that would leave their mark on video game history and star in the hilarious ‘Meet The Team‘ videos.

I personally remember staying up all night playing the game with friends. While I don’t play much nowadays, seeing it slowly die to bots and hackers isn’t how I’d like the game to end.

As such, I say #SAVETF2!
