Goddess of Victory Nikke fans rejoice as the upcoming major update includes a skin that removes Makima’s Coat. The update drops on 2nd March and also includes other commodities added in the cash shop.

Listed on the official Nikke website, to obtain this skin of Makima without her coat, Commanders will need to complete the challenge in the Nikke x Chainsaw Man collaboration event. However, this specific skin is limited and players will not be able to get the skin once the collaboration event ends on March 15th, 4:59 (UTC+9).

Nikke fans had been relatively vocal about their dissatisfaction regarding the decision to have Makima wear her coat; to which people point out how it completely ruins the main appeal of the game. However, as of time of writing, it seems that only Makima will have an alternate skin but not Power; the other Chainsaw Man collab character who wears a jacket in the game.

The Nikke patch notes that remove’s Makima’s coat have been met with joy and celebration across various social media platforms. Twitter user Sorin Von Skyfall mentions “Largest W I have ever received in my LIFE. Nature truly is healing”. While reddit user savalisk over on the NikkeOutpost subreddit says “We’ve saved the community from the tyranny of coats…. but… for how long…”.
