Steam has launched its first major sale of 2025, the Real-Time Strategy Fest, running from January 20th through January 27th at 10am PST. The week-long event features significant discounts across various strategy game subgenres, alongside demos and Steam Points Shop offerings.

The sale encompasses a broad spectrum of strategy titles beyond traditional RTS games. Grand strategy enthusiasts can find Europa Universalis 4 at a steep 90% discount ($5/£4/€5), while Victoria 3 is available at half price ($25/£21/€25). The upcoming Frostpunk 2 sees a 22% reduction to $35/£30/€35, and the medieval city-builder Manor Lords is discounted by 30% to $28/£24.49/€28.
Classic RTS titles feature prominently in the sale, with notable deals including the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 Anniversary Edition at 80% off ($10/£8/€p) and Age of Empires 4 Anniversary Edition at half price ($20/£15/€20). The Homeworld series sees particularly deep discounts, with both the Remastered Collection and Deserts of Kharak available at 90% off ($3.49/£2.69/€3.19 and $5/£3/€4.59 respectively).
