Snowbreak: Containment Zone is launching its Lunar New Year celebration with a substantial update running from January 23 to March 6, 2025. The update introduces two new SSR Operatives: Chenxing – Jade Arc, a bow specialist available through the “Soul-Shocking Jade” banner, and Yao – Nightglow, an SMG operative obtainable for free via a Special Invitation login event and through the “Evening Lights” banner.

The update brings several new gameplay features, including a new story chapter and a boss called θ (Theta) – Inversion. Players can explore the new Beiting Ancient Manor area and participate in multiple limited-time events. Notable additions include Star Master, featuring an open world with a day/night cycle and fishing contest, and Splash Roulette, a new game mode. The Supreme Battleground event returns with a double boss showdown, running from January 23 to February 20.

Players can look forward to generous rewards during the celebration. A SSR Operative Selector will be distributed on January 28, allowing players to choose from ten SSR operatives from version 1.8 or earlier. The login campaign offers various rewards, including 15 limited operative gacha tickets and 5 limited weapon gacha tickets.

The update also introduces quality-of-life improvements, such as logistics optimization with new reroll features and filtering options. Starting from version 2.5, story cutscenes will include voice acting. Snowbreak: Containment Zone will also have improved operative lists and co-op sticker wheel customization during the Lunar New Year update.

For base customization enthusiasts, new facilities include a Hot Springs area with interactive furniture like the Rejuvenating Pool and Fish Spa. Multiple character outfits will be available, including the free “Dazzling Roar” outfit for Fenny – Lionheart as a login reward.
