SEGA Opens Registration for First-Ever Sonic Fan Meeting in Kuala Lumpur

Sonic fans in Malaysia have a special treat to look forward to as SEGA announces registration for the Sonic Official Fan Meeting Tour 2024-25 in Kuala Lumpur. The event, scheduled for February 16, 2025, marks the first official Sonic fan gathering in Malaysia and will feature two key members of the Sonic Team: Kazuyuki Hoshino (Sonic Creative Director) and Eitaro Toyoda (Sonic Setting Supervisor and Story Writer).

Attendees can expect an array of exclusive activities, including access to a gallery showcasing rare original artwork from the series, participation in merchandise raffles, and autograph sessions with the creative team. Each participant will receive exclusive commemorative items, including a tour T-shirt and a B2-sized poster featuring artwork from the prologue animation “SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS: Dark Beginnings.”

Registration for the event opens today, January 17, and runs through February 2, 2025. Interested fans must meet specific eligibility requirements, including being at least 17 years of age and residing in the region. Selected participants will be notified of their successful registration on February 3, 2025. The Sonic Fan Meeting in Kuala Lumpur just comes after the release of SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, which combines a remastered version of SONIC GENERATIONS with a new Shadow the Hedgehog campaign. This collection features upgraded visuals and additional bonus content across both classic 2D and 3D Sonic stages.
