In an unexpected turn of events, Sony may have confirmed the existence of the much-rumored PlayStation 5 Pro. An unlisted video on the official PlayStation YouTube channel was briefly shown titled “PS5 Pro,” before being swiftly renamed to “PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation – September 10.”
The video in question serves as a teaser for an upcoming presentation, featuring the PS5 logo and the intriguing text “the journey continues,” followed by date and time details. While Sony has not officially disclosed the presentation’s subject, the original video title strongly suggests that it will focus on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
This development comes amid growing speculation about an upgraded PS5 console. In August, Dealabs leaked an alleged design for the new model, and Sony itself appeared to tease the console upgrade in a recent PlayStation 30th Anniversary image. The “Pro” designation follows the naming convention established by the previous generation’s PS4 Pro.
As of now, specific details such as pricing and technical specifications remain unknown. However, a March report from Digital Foundry, based on leaked information, suggested that the PS5 Pro would feature a more powerful GPU and improved ray tracing capabilities.
