The Pokémon Company has officially announced a major celebration to mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary across Asia. The festivities will take place in seven cities including Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong. A wide range of activities has been planned, including PokéXciting!, Pokémon Run, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, shopping mall campaigns, and various other events aimed at fans across multiple generations.

Alongside the announcement, The Pokémon Company also launched the official Pokémon Asia 30th Anniversary website on June 3. The site is available in several languages, including Indonesian, English, Traditional Chinese, and Thai. In addition to serving as the central hub for information about upcoming celebrations, the website features a retrospective look at Pokémon’s history, showcasing iconic starter Pokémon from different generations in a festive anniversary-themed setting.
Susumu Fukunaga, who serves as a Corporate Officer at The Pokémon Company, commented that the celebration serves as a gesture of appreciation to fans who have accompanied Pokémon throughout its three-decade journey. He also expressed hope that the event will serve as a gateway for a new generation to discover the world of Pokémon, while also strengthening connections among fan communities across Asia through the various activities that will be held throughout the celebration period.

One of the biggest highlights of the anniversary campaign is PokéXciting!, a large-scale event series designed to deliver unique Pokémon experiences in cities throughout Asia. The schedule announced so far includes:
- Kuala Lumpur on September 12–13, 2026
- Taipei on October 10–11, 2026
- Singapore on November 7–8, 2026
- Manila on January 23–24, 2027
- Bangkok on February 13–14, 2027
With a celebration spanning multiple countries and communities, Pokémon Asia 30th Anniversary is being positioned as one of the largest Pokémon celebrations ever held in the region. In addition to offering a wide range of activities for longtime fans, the campaign is also expected to expand Pokémon’s reach to new audiences as the franchise prepares to enter its fourth decade as a global phenomenon.
