The Pokemon Company has announced the Pokemon TCG Malaysia Regional, a tournament for card game players seeking glory .

The Malaysia Regional tournament will be held at Starling Mall in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia from 2nd to 3rd December, and registration is available via the Pokemon TCG website.

It covers three different categories:  Masters, Senior and Junior, with the age range for each category as follows:

• Masters: Born on or before August 31 2006
• Senior: Born between September 1st, 2006 and August 31, 2012
• Junior: Born on or after September 1st, 2012

Entrants will be capped at 520 for the Masters category, with 16 for the Senior and Junior categories respectively.

In the event the number of registrants exceeds the cap, The Pokemon Company says entrants will be chosen via a lottery system.

Naturally, players will be required to bring their Tournament-legal decks, as well as their own damage counters, coins and V-Star markers as well as spare sleeves as no rental equipment will be available at the event.

Joining the tournament will also require pre registration via the Trainers Website, with registration running until November 19th.

Pokemon TCG has a strong presence in Malaysia, with multiple learn-to-play bootcamps at events like Cos-Mic as well as at Pavilion Bukit Jalil this month.

In the tournament scene, Malaysia has also played host to the Pokemon TCG Asia EN Open Summer earlier this year, with multiple top players coming down to compete.
