The Pokemon TCG Academia Bootcamp, an event that aims to introduce university and college students to the Trading Card Game will be held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Malaysia on 18th November 2023.

The event is said to help prepare upcoming players to take on competitive Pokemon TCG events such as Town League, Regional Leagues, and Championships.

Event Overview

On 18th November 2023, the Pokemon TCG Academia Bootcamp is a free entry event that starts from 10:00 AM till 18:30 PM at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Orange Zone, Level 2.

During the event, players will be part of a team with a total of 16 players and will be guided by professors through tutorial sessions which include:

• Pokémon TCG gameplay knowledge and strategy
• Gaining Skill in Deck Building
• Understanding tournament floor rule
• Cultivating a battle mindset and ethics
• Navigating the Trainers’ Website
• Challenging 5 Swiss Draw Rounds

Every participant who joins in will receive a set of original prizes from a Playmat, to a Deck Case and more, that are adorned with the Pokemon TCG Academia Series logo.

Participation Details

Players will need to pre-register for the Pokemon TCG Academia Bootcamp starting from 19th October and ends on 10th November 2023, with the results being announced on the following day on 11th November 2023.

Players will need to provide the relevant identification to prove that they are a university or college student in Malaysia.

Additionally, players will also need to know the rules of the Pokemon Trading Card Game as well as be registered to the Pokemon TCG Trainers Website of their region and have a Player ID.

Players will need to bring in these items to the event as no rental equipment will be available at the venue:

• Tournament-legal deck with 60 cards
• Extra Pokémon, Trainer and Energy cards
• Identification
• Coin
• Damage Counters
• Markers (Poison Marker, Burn Marker, VSTAR Marker

Cards that are available for use at Pokemon TCG Academia are up to the Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet-Paradox Rift Expansion (SV04).
