Pokémon Pokopia has sold out at Nintendo’s official online store, and the demand for the game is already making waves online. On Amazon, the game’s price climbed to $79.99 which is up from its standard retail price, with the listing shipped and sold directly by Amazon itself and not a third-party seller.
Social media reacted quickly. Nintendo deals account Nintendeal flagged the price hike on X, and another accounnoted the game had become so popular it was already getting scalped.

Pokopia is a cozy town-building game where players control a Ditto who wakes up in a dried-out, abandoned land. Humans are gone, and the only one around is a lone Tangrowth. Using Ditto’s ability to transform, players take on the shapes and powers of different Pokémon to get around the world, interact with the environment, and complete various tasks.
The game blends crafting, gardening, and relationship-building. Players gather materials to build homes, craft furniture, and set up habitats for Pokémon. There’s a lot of room for personalization from cozy little cottages to outdoor gardens and picnic spots.
The social side of the game is a big part of the experience too. Players can meet and build friendships with unique Pokémon characters like Professor Tangrowth, Peakychu, and Mosslax, each with their own backstory. Multiplayer lets friends visit each other’s towns, share builds, and work on projects together.
The game is designed to be relaxed and easy to pick up, making it welcoming for both casual players and longtime Pokémon fans. With the sell-out at Nintendo’s store and rising prices already showing up at major retailers, Pokopia is shaping up to be one of the bigger releases for the Switch 2.
