Kinetic Games has officially announced a new crossover event titled “Phasmophobia by Alan Wake”, bringing Remedy Entertainment’s psychological horror universe into the co-op ghost-hunting hit Phasmophobia. The limited-time event is set to begin on May 12 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
This crossover marks one of the most ambitious collaborations yet for Phasmophobia, blending its paranormal investigation gameplay with the unsettling narrative atmosphere of Remedy’s Alan Wake 2 universe.
A Collision of Two Horror Worlds

According to Kinetic Games, the event features a mysterious entity that “bleeds into familiar locations” and disrupts standard investigation patterns. Furthermore, players will encounter warped environments that react dynamically during ghost hunts. This creates a more psychological layer of tension compared to standard gameplay.
Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake praised the collaboration. He explained that many developers at Remedy are fans of Phasmophobia. Therefore, the team saw this crossover as a “dream—or rather, nightmare—collaboration.” He also noted that both franchises naturally enhance each other’s horror identity.
