Atlus has revealed a new trailer and character artwork for Persona 3 Reload consisting of the party members Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Fuuka Yamagishi.
The new trailer gives us a better look at the character and how they act when in battle:
Here are the new designs and information for the Persona 3 Reload characters Akihiko, Mitsuru and Fuuka that have been released today according to a new press release from Sega:
Akihiko Sanada
Akihiko is a third-year student at Gekkoukan High School and a founding member of the SEES.
A popular figure at school, he is the captain of the boxing team and excels at both sports and academics. Normally calm and collected, Akihiko can also be a bit stubborn and inflexible at times.
Injured while fighting against a Shadow, he returns to the front lines after nursing his wounds.
An experienced boxer, Akihiko prefers close-quarter combat, lobbing haymakers at his enemies. His Persona, Polydeuces, specializes in physical damage and electric skills.
Mitsuru Kirijo
Mitsuru is the heiress to the Kirijo Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the world. She is a third-year student and student council president at Gekkoukan High School. As the leader of the SEES, she directs the protagonist and the other members.
A serious and hard-working girl who has a fondness for discipline, Mitsuru excels in many fields. However, she can be somewhat out of touch due to her sheltered upbringing, and her eccentric behavior can come as a shock to others.
As one might expect from the captain of the fencing team, her preferred weapon of choice is a one-handed sword. Her Persona, Penthesilea, specializes in ice and recovery skills.
Fuuka Yamagishi
Like the protagonist, Fuuka is a second-year student at Gekkoukan High School.
A calm and humble girl, she is sometimes subject to bullying due to her timid nature.
Fuuka ends up becoming trapped in the Dark Hour, and her Persona abilities awaken when the SEES come to rescue her. She decides to join them afterward.
While she doesn’t fight directly in battles, Fuuka’s expertise in collecting and analyzing intel allows her to support the team as a navigator.
Her Persona is Lucia.
Persona 3 is a pivotal game in the Persona franchise, being the first game to feature the visual novel-style social links system. The game has received critical acclaim for its unique designs, vocal soundtracks, stylish UI, and its revolutionary character growth system which incorporated social interactions and adventure elements. The game helped redefine the series, becoming one of ATLUS’ most iconic RPGs.
Persona 3 Reload is marketed as a faithful remake that retains the charm of the original game while also vastly enhancing the visuals and controls for modern platforms.
Persona 3 Reload will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Seroes X|S and PC via Steam in 2024
