During the Ichigo Production Fan Kansha-sai 2025 event, fans of the hit anime series Oshi no Ko received exciting news as season 3 was officially announced for a 2026 premiere. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser visual featuring the character Ruby, which was presented through video.
The announcement comes as the series continues to maintain strong momentum, with its second season having aired in July 2024 across Tokyo MX and more than 29 other Japanese channels. The second season notably focused on the Tokyo Blade 2.5D stage play storyline, featuring performances by key characters including Kana Arima, Akane Kurokawa, Aqua Hoshino, and Melt Narushima. The franchise is also expanding into gaming, with its first official puzzle game announced during the same event.
Oshi no Ko has achieved significant success since its anime adaptation debut in April 2023, when it premiered with a distinctive 90-minute first episode. The series proved to be a record-breaker for HIDIVE, becoming the streaming service’s most successful series launch in its history.

The original manga, created by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, concluded its run on November 14, 2024, with its final chapter and volume published in December 2024. Throughout its run, the manga garnered numerous accolades, including first place in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” and the Best General Manga category at the 46th annual Kodansha Manga awards.
