Konami has unveiled the second volume of their eFootball x Captain Tsubasa collaboration, bringing fresh content to their popular football simulation game. The latest update introduces exclusive login bonuses featuring special edition cards illustrated by Captain Tsubasa creator Yoichi Takahashi himself, spotlighting football stars Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.

The collaboration showcases unique Epic cross-over cards that pair iconic Captain Tsubasa characters with legendary football attackers. These pairings include Michel Platini with Elle Sid Pierre, Eric Cantona with Louis Napoleon, and Diego Forlán with Ramon Victorino.

Alongside the Captain Tsubasa collaboration, KONAMI has initiated the qualifying rounds for the eFootball Championship 2025. The tournament’s previous iteration attracted an impressive 39.76 million participants. Round 1 of the qualifiers runs from January 30 to February 6 as part of the Challenge Event, offering players a chance to advance to the World Finals scheduled for summer 2025.

Players participating in the celebratory campaign can claim various rewards, including an Item Selector exchangeable for three in-game training programs. Additional rewards through PVP and Challenge events include up to 40,000GP, two Skill Training programs, a Random Booster Token, and two Position Training items. During Round 1, players can earn up to 100 eFootball coins, 1,000 eFootball points, and 100,000GP based on their performance.

eFootball, formerly known as PES, has evolved into a free-to-play platform that has achieved over 800 million downloads worldwide. The rebranding introduced a new football game engine and enhanced gameplay features, marking a significant evolution in KONAMI’s football gaming franchise.
