A new surprise came in from Square Enix, opening a teaser website for a new Final Fantasy title for smartphones.
The website displays a four day countdown with familiar background music that I’ve heard in Final Fantasy XIV, illustrated character artwork by Yoshikata Amano, as well as a short message from the game creator Takashi Tokita:
“Final Fantasy is about characters filled with human appeal, about dramatic battles of anger and sadness. And more than anything, we should not forget that it is about fantasy.”
Hopefully the timer is counting down to a full-fledged release rather than a simple reveal, though we’ll find out in another four days.
