Multiversus Open Beta, Closed Alpha Announced

Multiversus, the previously announced fighting game based on every WB property from DC to Looney Tunes announced two chances to try the game out before its official launch via an Open Beta as well as a Closed Alpha.

In a new trailer, they mentioned that the Open Beta for Multiversus would start in July 2022, though a Closed Alpha would also be held from May 19th.

The trailer even shows off some previously-unannounced characters joining the Multiversus roster- such as Velma from Scooby-Doo, the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes as well as the Iron Giant from the movie of the same name and Jake from Adventure Time.

They join other characters such as DC superheroes like Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, as well as Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, who appears to be based on the various Ultra Instinct Shaggy memes.

The game is free-to-play 2v2 platform fighter- making changes to the format popularized by Smash Bros by having team gameplay be the focus rather than the free-for-all party mode.

That being said, the developers have confirmed that it will still include a 1v1 mode, as well as a 4-way free-for-all for those who really want to show what happens when Shaggy uses more than 1% of his power.
