Monster Hunter: Iceborne Director, Daisuke Ichihara, has left Capcom. Besides Iceborne, he was also Director for Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. He is now employed by ILCA, whose repertoire of works include Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Code Vein, Dragon Quest XI, NieR: Automata and more.
The news comes from a CGWORLD.JP special interview with ILCA. From Gematsu, Ichihara is quoted to have said, “You only live once, right?”. Ichihara is now ILCA’s Kyoto Development Division director and a mid-career hire.
We had interviewed him regarding Iceborne in March, which you can read about here. We’ll see how his influence works in ILCA in time.
