Imagineer has announced Medabots Card Robattle RB, a card battle game coming to Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 25. The new game will launch in two separate versions, Kabuto and Kuwagata both priced at 5,478 yen each.

For those who want the full package, a Deluxe Edition will also be available for 17,600 yen. It includes both versions of the game along with some notable extras: an 80-page “Complete Card Book” guide, a physical two-player card game with a play mat and markers, and a Sound Collection CD featuring 30 songs plus one bonus track, all bundled together in a special deluxe box.

The game offers three main modes. Versus Battle lets players go up against others through either online network play or local matches. Robattle Challenge has players taking on AI opponents across different terrain types like forests and rocky areas, where the terrain itself plays into strategy. Finally, Robattle Tower is a roguelike-style mode where players climb floors, with opponents and terrain changing randomly each run.

Players can build decks using more than 400 cards spanning Medabots, Parts, Tactics, Medafighters, Medaforce, and more. Each Medabot comes with its own abilities and traits.

The two versions aren’t just cosmetically different. Completing the tutorial in the Kabuto Version gives players a shooting-type starter deck, while the Kuwagata Version gives a fighting-type deck instead. Each version also has exclusive cards, though these can be obtained in the opposite version through Versus Battle mode. No international release has been announced at this time.
