SNK has announced that Kenshiro, the iconic lead character from Fist of the North Star, is coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as part of the game’s Season 2 DLC lineup, with his launch set for June. Ahead of his official release, Kenshiro will be playable at EVO 2026, running from June 26 to 28 in Las Vegas, giving fighting game fans an early chance to try him out.
The character will be voiced by Clayton Alexander in English and Shunsuke Takeuchi in Japanese. Kenshiro is described in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a post-apocalyptic savior bearing seven distinctive scars on his chest, and the sole successor to the deadly martial art known as Hokuto Shinken. According to SNK, it is a dangerous interest in Hokuto Shinken by unknown forces that pulls him into the City of the Wolves in the first place. True to his roots, Kenshiro is portrayed as a protector of the weak who shows no mercy to those who prey on others.
Players will be able to experience his story across two modes in. In Arcade Mode, Kenshiro finds himself in South Town, a modern city far removed from the wasteland he knows. He teams up with Terry, Hokutomaru, and Hotaru to enter the King of Fighters tournament, with his sights set on confronting Wolfgang Krauser, who has taken the city under his control.
In Episodes of South Town, Kenshiro wakes up in South Town and crosses paths with Terry, Mai, and other fighters before uncovering a mysterious force spreading through the city, setting him off on a new mission. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
