Koei Tecmo Reorganizes Teams, Part of Team NINJA Moves to Gust in April

Koei Tecmo has announced a round of internal changes set to take effect on April 1, with the most notable being the transfer of a Team NINJA division over to Gust, the studio best known for the Atelier series.

Specifically, Team NINJA’s Division 1 will be moved under Gust and renamed Gust Division 2. This is the team behind DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation, and they also worked alongside Gust on the co-development of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Meanwhile, the remaining Team NINJA Division 2 will be split into two separate divisions, simply becoming the new Team NINJA Division 1 and Team NINJA Division 2.

Beyond the Team NINJA and Gust restructuring, Koei Tecmo is also making several other changes across the company. The IP Business division will be renamed Global IP Business, and the Marketing Division will be rebranded as the Global Marketing Division, with some of its internal departments getting new names as well. A brand new Business Division is also being established, which will absorb the Global Business Promotion Department and Business Department from the Marketing Division.

Entertainment Division Team NINJA Division 1 transfers to Gust, becoming Gust Division 2. Team NINJA Division 2 splits into Team NINJA Division 1 and Team NINJA Division 2.

IP Business Renamed to Global IP Business.

Marketing Division Renamed to Global Marketing Division. The Global Marketing Department becomes the Marketing Department, and the Global Business Department becomes the Business Development Department.

Business Division (New) A new Business Division is created, taking in the Global Business Promotion Department (renamed to Business Promotion Department) and the Business Department from the Marketing Division.
