Gust, Koei Tecmo, and Team Ninja have released new DLC for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. This update introduces a high-difficulty dungeon called the Backwards-Ticking Clock Workshop. Players will face tougher enemies and enjoy a fresh combat system. Additionally, the dungeon includes Catalyst Ingredients, Starpearls, and a special reward on the final floor.
To access this dungeon, players must first complete the main story and have cleared game data. Furthermore, the DLC is included in The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian – Atelier Season Pass, so fans should avoid duplicate purchases. These steps ensure a seamless experience for both new and returning players.

Recipe Expansion Pack “The Essence of Alchemy”

Alongside the dungeon, the Recipe Expansion Pack “The Essence of Alchemy” adds a collection of useful recipes. Players can craft character-specific items, equipment, and synthesis ingredients. Moreover, each recipe unlocks as players advance through the story, giving a sense of progression.

Since the recipe pack is also part of the Atelier Season Pass, players who already own it will not accidentally repurchase. These additions allow players to experiment more freely and enhance both combat and synthesis opportunities.
Story and Gameplay Highlights
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian follows Rias Eidreise and Slade Clauslyter as they return to Hallfein, a once-thriving mining town now undergoing restoration. Rias wants to revive her grandfather’s shop, while Slade pursues personal goals tied to his father’s legacy.

Their journey eventually leads to a hidden ruin under Hallfein. Inside, they discover an ancient alchemical cauldron. Consequently, alchemy awakens again when Rias successfully uses the relic.

Combat builds on the series’ turn-based command system but also introduces new mechanics for tactical control. Additionally, the Gift Color Synthesis system returns, allowing players to link elemental “gift colors” from ingredients and carry traits into their creations.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with the PlayStation 4 version available in Japan. Players can access the new DLC through the Atelier Season Pass, which expands combat challenges and synthesis possibilities. For more details on the DLC visit their official website.
