As per Kingdom Hearts tradition, Disney characters can also join your adventures. Some of the characters shown include Aladdin, The Beast from Beauty & The Beast, as well as Stitch from Lilo & Stitch.
Just like with Kingdom Hearts 3, no Final Fantasy characters have been announced.
Square Enix also hopes new fans will pick up the title, by adding catchup tools for those not fully versed with the game’s lore. According to Square Enix, “Kairi tells the tale of the Kingdom Hearts Series up to now”.
We don’t know if this means she’ll be playable, or if the game will simply have cinematics narrated by her to catch players up to the game’s story.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is the canon rhythm spinoff for the Kingdom Hearts series, taking place after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3. It features several play modes, as well as playable characters including the cast of other spinoffs Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days.
