The event will feature only the pre-timeskip characters, with designs from that era of the anime. The titular Gurren Lagann is one of the playable mechs, along with regular Lagann, Yoko’s Ganmen and Lazengann.
Meanwhile, the pilots included in this collaboration are Kamina, Simon, Yoko, Nia and Lordgenome. As previously mentioned, they’re all in their pre-timeskip forms, with no currently revealed options of changing that.
Of the characters, Nia is the only one without a unique mecha, since she doesn’t have one in the anime, either.
The event will also feature card art of the mechs, with the promotional material showing off Gurren Lagann and Lazengann in the game’s art style.
Naturally, Gurren Lagann’s super move will be its iconic Giga Drill Breaker, and will be great in-game for clearing out big groups of enemies as it dashes forward with its gigantic drill.
Lazengann’s super move looks similar to the Giga Drill Breaker, however it has Lazengann stand in place. From the gameplay shown in the PV, it looks more suited for taking out singular enemies with high HP rather than big mobs.
