Sunrise has announced the release date for Gundam Arsenal Base, their previously announced arcade game which features collectible cards and strategic gameplay.

According to the GundamInfo portal, Gundam Arsenal Base, will release on February 24th,  alongside the SEASON:01 expansion of cards for the game.

The game will be playable via various arcades in Japan, and the website even says they’ll begin operations a week early on February 17th, giving out free SD Gundam promotional cards for playing.

The game sees you commanding 5 pilots and 5 mobile suits on missions to destroy enemy battleships and mobile suits, with pilots from across the Gundam mega-IP.

The GundamInfo website mentions the game being playable with up to two players, so it looks like the game will also have a local versus for you to send your squads out to beat your friends.

Rather than just limiting it to Universal Century such as with other games like UC Engage or Battle Operation, Gundam Arsenal Base will feature alternate timeline characters such as Kira Yamato from Gundam SEED as well as Mikazuki Augus from Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans.

SEASON:01 even features characters from Gundam Build Divers, one of the few Gundam games to acknowledge the build series with playable characters.
