What is a Miracle?

Miracles are a gameplay feature in SMT V that gives you access to various passive abilities that give different effects to the protagonist and party members in order to fight more optimally. If you’ve ever played Shin Megami Tensei IV, they function the exact same way that the Apps in that game did.

These abilities range from allowing you to hold more demons in your party to making your magatsuhi gauge fill faster when performing certain actions in battle.

How Can You Unlock Miracles?

Miracles can be obtained by exchanging Glory (a special currency in the game) from Sophia, the demon who runs the World of Shadows. You find glory by finding Mimons, cute little imp like demons or white amalgams, diamond-shaped structures, both are scattered around the overworld. You can also get glory by defeating Blue Nigi Mitamas (the blue ones) in battle.

Which Miracles are The Best

So, here we will summarize the recommendations from the best Miracle that you need for the game to the less important ones that you can get but don’t necessarily need. Due to differences in priorities and how significant the effect of each Miracle is, we have deliberately summarized the guide in the form of a tier list. First, here is the ranking scale:

Supremacy is for in-battle abilities, the doctrine is for buffs in the game’s shops, awakening helps with building and customizing your party, and Cosmos is all about skill affinities, making certain types of skills better for your character.

The biggest priority you should have with the miracles is getting more slots of demons and skills for both your characters and the demons. Shin Megami Tensei is a game all about building up a small demon army to overcome the challenges of the game and as such you want as many demons with as many moves to get you through it. This is especially true with the high amount of customization in SMTV thanks to the demon essences.
