With the 8th anniversary of Granblue Fantasy, that means it’s time for the paid Anniversary Ticket for those who are willing to spend this 2022. This “guide” will be prioritizing seasonal characters and not Flash or Premium Gala characters, as the former has less frequent reruns. The Granblue 8th anniversary ticket also does not include the 2022 Valentine characters.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Since this is a paid ticket, you should consider the following factors:

• What element you want to invest in
• What are you missing in that element
• How good your grid is, as some characters may be better for later game
• What other characters do you have to synergize with your pick

Of course, if you’re only here for “husbando” or “waifu” meta, feel free to pick whoever you wish. If you decide on a Swimsuit / Yukata or Flash / Premium Gala character through the 2022 ticket, you may prefer to hold off until the end of the Granblue anniversary free pulls to avoid getting a duplicate. The recommendations are not absolute, as the game often introduces characters or weapons that are catered to specific playstyles.

Summons also excluded due to typically requiring heavier investment via Sunlight Stones for stats or improved effects.

LUCIO (SWIMSUIT)	Buffer / Debuffer	Higher?	Lower?	Has some good buffs and sustain, but you might prefer someone more useful.
MIRIN (HOLIDAY)	Sub-DPS? / Burst	Lower?	Depends	Has debuffs on a damaging skill and self-sustain. Can be a tank in a pinch. 200% charge bar likely relegates her more to burst compositions in conjunction with Bonito.
SANDALPHON (SWIMSUIT)	DPS / Buffer	Higher?	Lower?	Very simple kit that can buff his own damage and assist his allies. Because of this simplicity, probably not as useful for later game.

EARTH

ANTHURIA (HOLIDAY)	Buffer / Tank (Dodge)	Depends	Higher?	Dodge has never been particularly reliable, and the hostility up may be detrimental to beginners. The Double Strike is nice, if your MC is strong enough.
CUCOUROUX (HALLOWEEN)	Buffer / Debuffer / DPS	Lower?	Higher?	While she does bring some buffs when she dodges, and end of turn damage / debuffs, her scattered shots individually don't necessarily have the highest damage.
ILLNOTT (SWIMSUIT)	Buffer / Debuffer	Lower?	Higher?	Delay and Dispel is always nice. Likely more sought after by later game players for the one-turn kills for Unite and Fight.
MAGISA (HOLIDAY)	DPS / Buffer	Higher	Depends	A very simple to use kit. Later game players may not necessarily need her, but she's hardly a bad option.
METERA (SWIMSUIT)	DPS	Higher	Depends	Beginners can supplement their lack of damage with her skill spam. If later game players aren't geared for skill damage, she may not be as needed.
NARMAYA (HOLIDAY)	DPS	Higher	Higher	With self-sustain on end of turn damage, and emergency tanking when required, you can't go wrong with her at any level.
SILVA (SWIMSUIT)	DPS / Support?	Higher?	Depends	While her reducing her Max HP wouldn't work as well for beginners, her supporting fire may prove useful in general content. Later game players may also pick her for this purpose if needed.

WIND

DARK
