He is a 5 Star Dendro Sword with amazing DPS capabilities, making him one of the best choice as not only for Dendro but overall DPS character in Genshin.
His Elemental Skill is Universality: An Elaboration on Form and works in two different ways, a press and a hold version. Pressing the elemental skill will rush him in a straight line whereas holding it will enter aim mode where you can aim where to rush.
Both versions will create a Chisel-Light Mirror that enhances him. Having the mirror will infuse all form of Alhaitham’s attack with Dendro while also dealing extra Dendro Damage on its own.
The mirror can stack up to three times and it will disappear over time or when Alhaitham leaves the field.
His Elemental Burst is Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena that creates a field dealing multiple AoE Dendro Damage. He will consume any Chisel-Light Mirror he has to increase number of AoE Dendro Damage being dealt. Once his burst ends, he will create new mirrors based on the amount he consumed.
Alhatiham’s first passive is Four Casual Correction, creating new Chisel-Light Mirror for every charged or plunging attack he makes.
His second passive is Mysteries Laid Bare which increases the damages from his mirrors and Elemental Burst scaling with his Elemental Mastery.
His adventure skill allows him to have a chance of receiving double the product when crafting weapon ascension materials.
|Circlet||Crit Rate / Crit Damage|
|2-Piece: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.|
|4-Piece: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.|
Gilded Dreams is the best choice for Alhaitham because he is all about Elemental Mastery. Having extra EM and the bonus effect from the 4-Piece gives Alhaitham the ability to constantly dish out massive damage.
|2-Piece: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.|
|4-Piece: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.|
Deepwood Memories if you’re going for brute force monke Alhaitham. He can constantly keep his weapon Dendro infused so the effects from the artifacts is solid for him

Mixing between the two is the choice to go if you already have someone in your team with full Deepwood Memories set since the Dendro shred is not stackable.
|Light of Foliar Incision||5★||Crit Damage||CRIT Rate is increased by 4%. After Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12s.||Light of Foliar Incision is his best weapon. Being able to increase his damage scaling with Elemental Mastery is just the kind of buff Alhaitham needs|
|Mistsplitter Reforged||5★||Crit Damage||Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 8/16/28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.||Mistsplitter is the next best choice as he can constantly keep his weapon infused with Dendro to fully make use of the weapon’s passive|
|Iron Sting||4★||Elemental Mastery||Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 6% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can occur once every 1s.||Iron Sting is the budget choice for him since the EM subtstat and its passive allows Alhaitham to increase the damage he deals on all his kits.|
|Xiphos Moonlight||4★||Elemental Mastery||The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 0.036% Energy Recharge for each point of Elemental Mastery they possess for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration. Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.||Xiphos will be your go to if you’re going for a more Burst oriented playstyle. Alhaitham builds around Elemental Mastery and the weapon’s passive makes use of it for better Energy recharge|

Alhaitham is a top tier Dendro DPS and the fact that he scales with Elemental Mastery, means he can fully make sure of all the powerful reactions from the Dendro element. His infusion is very easy to proc. Between Elemental Skill or Charged Attack, pick whichever is not on cooldown. If both are unfortunately on cooldown, use his Burst to get all 3 stacks immediately.
There’s not much else going for him but as a DPS, he serves his role exceptionally well even without a proper support.
His main weakness also comes from his reliance on his mirrors. As easy as it is to create one, it’s also easy to lose one. One mirror lasts for 4 seconds and all of them disappears when you swap out. You also unfortunately cannot get a full stack of 3 mirrors unless you use start your rotation with his Elemental Burst.
His scaling with Elemental Mastery also does bring its own sets of harm much like it did with Cyno. If you’re not building him for Dendro reactions, you’ll lose out almost half of what he can really do.
Your applicator in your team also needs to be able to apply their elements for a long duration since you cannot swap Alhaitham out once he is in or else, he’ll lose out all his mirrors.
SHOULD YOU PULL
Why are you not pulling for him? He’s hot. He’s smart. He is also the Acting Grand Sage so he’s gotta be pretty wealthy. What more do you need in a man? Pull for him.
On a serious note, however, there is no wrong in pulling for Alhaitham. He’s a solid Dendro DPS and while he cannot Nuke enemies, the damages that he could potentially dish out while he is on-field makes up for that.
Abyss wise, he’s also a solid front line character. With how Reaction focused Abyss is for a safe and easy clear, Alhaitham’s Elemental Mastery scaling definitely helps. The one major downside to him is his main gimmick, his mirrors. If you are okay with not getting full 3 stacks in your rotation, then you’ll find Alhaitham is your kind of man for a high tier DPS character.
