BeXide has announced that Fruit Mountain Party will launch on Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2026. The multiplayer-focused 3D puzzle game is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam, where it first launched on August 28. The console release marks the next major step for the title as it expands its audience beyond PC.

Known for its accessible mechanics and competitive edge, Fruit Mountain Party builds upon the core concept established in the original Fruit Mountain. This new entry places a stronger emphasis on multiplayer battles while retaining the familiar fruit-stacking gameplay that defined the series.
First Hands-On Opportunities at Japanese Events

Ahead of its console release, players in Japan will get their first chance to try the Switch version of Fruit Mountain Party at upcoming events. The game will be playable at Osaka Game Dungeon, which takes place on December 27, at MyDome Osaka. It will also appear at Tokyo eSports Festa 2026, scheduled from January 9, to January 11, at Tokyo Big Sight.
These public demos will allow players to experience the game’s multiplayer modes firsthand. At the same time, they give BeXide an opportunity to gather feedback ahead of the full console launch.
Classic Fruit Stacking With a Competitive Twist

At its core, Fruit Mountain Party revolves around a simple but addictive idea. Players throw fruits onto a plate and stack them carefully. When two fruits of the same type touch, they combine into a larger fruit. However, if the stack becomes unstable and fruits fall off the plate, the game ends.
While the basic rules remain easy to understand, the addition of competitive modes adds new layers of tension. Players must balance careful stacking with aggressive tactics, especially during chaotic matches filled with items and unexpected events.
Multiplayer Battles Take Center Stage

Unlike earlier entries, Fruit Mountain Party places heavy emphasis on versus play. The game supports online and local multiplayer for up to four players. Various rule sets allow matches to range from serious score attacks to unpredictable battles driven by random elements.
For players who prefer solo play, the single-player mode remains intact. This mode supports global rankings, allowing players to compete against others worldwide for high scores. As a result, the game caters to both casual sessions and more competitive playstyles.
Early Access Development and What’s Next

The PC Early Access version continues to evolve, with BeXide refining gameplay balance and adding content based on player feedback. The upcoming Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are expected to reflect these improvements, offering a more polished experience at launch.
With its mix of simple controls, competitive depth, and multiplayer focus, Fruit Mountain Party aims to stand out as a party-friendly puzzle game on Nintendo platforms. As spring 2026 approaches, more details about its console release are expected to follow.
