Filipino Nintendo fans, your wait is almost over. The first-ever Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines is set to open this May at Level 2 of SM Makati, Ayala Center, San Lorenzo Village, Makati.
SM Makati made the announcement on Facebook, sharing a photo of the store’s construction barricade already in place at the site. The board-up features a familiar face: Mario himself, alongside a big “Coming Soon” sign. The store’s branding is decked out in Nintendo’s signature red color, making it hard to miss as you walk past.

Nintendo is one of the biggest names in gaming, known for popular franchises like Mario, Pokémon, and The Legend of Zelda. While Filipino fans can already buy Nintendo products through the brand’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada, this will be the first physical, authorized Nintendo retail location in the country.
The Nintendo store is also opening at a fitting time, with the Nintendo Switch 2 having recently launched, including here in the Philippines. Nintendo has been getting a lot of attention from gamers, and titles like Pokopia and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream are among the games generating buzz right now. As of writing, no further details have been released beyond the location and opening month. The store’s own page has been created, so more updates are expected to follow as the opening draws closer.
