SNK has shared a new animated teaser video that appears to hint at a collaboration between Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and the classic manga and anime series Fist of the North Star.
The short video shows a boy and girl cornered by two thugs before a mysterious figure intervenes and defeats the attackers using only a finger. Several details in the video point to Fist of the North Star connections. The thugs resemble villain designs from the series, while the finger-press sound mirrors the pressure-point technique featured in the anime. The mysterious character’s visible leg and arm also match the appearance of Kenshiro, the main character of Fist of the North Star.
This collaboration between Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Fist of the North Star follows a pattern from SNK, which has previously released similar animated teasers for other characters. Earlier videos featured Wolfgang Krauser (with both English and Japanese versions), as well as Mr. Karate and Robert Garcia. These teasers could be revealing new downloadable characters coming in Season 2, which is set to begin in January.
Thank you for an incredible 2025, FATAL FURY fans!

Fist of the North Star, known as Hokuto no Ken in Japan, is a manga series created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara that first appeared in 1983. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the main character, Kenshiro, uses a martial art called Hokuto Shinken that attacks an opponent’s pressure points.
