Farming Simulator 26 Announced, Coming to Nintendo Switch This May

GIANTS Software and Maximum Entertainment have officially announced Farming Simulator 26 for the Nintendo Switch, with the game set to launch on May 19, 2026. It follows up on Farming Simulator 23: Nintendo Switch Edition, and pre-orders for both physical and digital copies are already open.

One of the biggest additions in this entry is a brand-new challenge system. Players can take on weekly and seasonal challenges that walk them through different parts of farm life, like taking wheat to a mill, then sending it to a factory to produce cakes. Completing these challenges earns you rewards along the way, giving you goals to work toward while building up your farm.

Farming Simulator 26 brings two new maps to play on, one set in Europe and one in North America. Both give players open space to build and run their farm however they like.

The game lets you grow up to 15 types of crops, work with forestry machinery, and raise livestock including cows, sheep, chickens, and goats. New production chains and logistics systems are also part of the package, adding more depth to how you manage everything on your farm. Farming Simulator 26 features machinery from well-known real-world brands like John Deere, Fendt, CLAAS, Kubota, Case IH, DEUTZ-FAHR, KRONE, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Valtra. In total, players will have access to over 120 machines on Nintendo Switch, covering everything from tractors and harvesters to sprayers.

The Nintendo Switch version comes with a GPS guidance system and an improved tutorial, making it more welcoming for players who are new to the series. Whether you’re a longtime fan or trying it for the first time, the game is designed to be easy to pick up. A new trailer has also been released alongside the announcement. Farming Simulator 26 launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on May 19, 2026.
