Keen Games has announced that Enshrouded will officially leave Early Access and launch in full this fall for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam. Alongside the release window, the developer also confirmed that a final major Early Access update is planned for spring, marking the last significant step before the game reaches version 1.0.

The cooperative action RPG survival crafting title first entered Early Access on PC on January 24, 2024. Since then, it has steadily grown in scope and popularity, driven by consistent updates and extensive community feedback. With the full launch now on the horizon, Keen Games is positioning the second half of the year as the moment to fully realize its original vision for Enshrouded.
An Evolving Roadmap Toward Version 1.0

Keen Games shared new details about the game’s development roadmap, emphasizing that the journey through Early Access has been anything but straightforward. Despite that, the team believes a clear roadmap remains essential, especially as Enshrouded approaches its full release.
The next major milestone arrives in spring with Version 0.8, which represents the eighth major Early Access update. This update will focus heavily on balancing, combat refinements, general polishing, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Most notably, it will introduce the first iteration of Adventure Sharing, a highly requested feature that allows players to explore and visit the bases created by other Flameborn more easily.
Full Launch Plans and Major Improvements

The fall release of Enshrouded will coincide with Version 1.0, bringing the game to consoles for the first time. Keen Games has outlined several key areas of improvement planned for this launch. These include quality-of-life updates aimed at improving the new player experience, smoother quest progression, and broader system optimizations to ensure stable performance across a wide range of hardware configurations.
Combat will also see further refinement, with smarter enemy behavior, deeper tactical options, improved balancing, and increased enemy variety. In addition, the full release will introduce new locations, enemies, and challenges, expanding the world for both new and returning players. Adventure Sharing will continue to evolve as well, with a second iteration planned to add more advanced systems such as logic elements, traps, and enemy spawners.
Five Million Players and Ongoing Support

Keen Games revealed that Enshrouded has already reached over five million players during its Early Access period. The studio credited this success for allowing the team to expand the game beyond its initial concept. While Version 1.0 represents a major milestone, the developer emphasized that it is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a new phase of ongoing updates and content additions.

Ahead of these larger updates, Keen Games also confirmed that a new patch is scheduled to release soon. This patch includes further combat tweaks, visual clarity improvements, animation adjustments, and numerous bug fixes aimed at improving overall stability.

With its full launch approaching, Enshrouded is preparing to make the transition from Early Access standout to fully realized multi-platform release later this year.
