Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has published details on Patch 1.09.1 for Elden Ring, which focused on bugs with several tools in the game.
Unlike previous patch updates, patch 1.09.1 has no real balance changes for Elden Ring ‘s meta except in one case, though it does address bugs in the game.
Here’s a list of all the fixes coming in the patch:
Fixed a bug where the effects of some Skills, Incantations, Items and Weapons that increased attack power were not applied to Spells and Incantations.
Fixed a bug where the Skill Contagious Fury from the Jellyfish Shield kept increasing attack power when unequipping the shield or switching to a different weapon.
Decreased the poise damage of the Cursed-Blood Slice Skill.
This is actually a pretty good sign that Elden Ring may finally be finding its footing ahead of the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC- keeping the overall meta on weapons stationary would prevent unwanted interactions when balancing the upcoming expansion.
The patch notes also offered additional advice for players who’d suffered performance drops via the ray tracing update.
Unfortunately the solutions mostly boiled down to turning off raytracing, as well as checking the updated minimum specs to make sure your game could still handle Elden Ring with raytracing.
