Since its release on May 22, Ejen Ali The Movie 2 has received an impressive hit of RM15.3 million in the Malaysian box office! In comparison to its first film, Ejen Ali The Movie had only received RM6.4 million in 3 days since its release.

The film has surpassed the expectations of many Malaysian fans, receiving a high number of praise and thus highlighting a brighter future within the growing animation industry in the country.

In the early beginnings of the films production, WAU Animation had first announced the project on September 13, 2024 at the Malaysia Digital Content Festival, revealing the SATRIA suit for the second film. A second teaser was then released on December 13, 2024, introducing a new character named Neonimus. The third teaser was launched on February 16 this year during the 39th Anugerah Juara Lagu, featuring a performance by Dato’ M. Nasir.

The premise of Ejen Ali The Movie 2 takes place as Alicia wins the Arena championship and receives the IRIS reward, while Ali is assigned to the secret project SATRIA as its first pilot. He confronts an old enemy, Neonimus, who returns with new threats. Ali activates SATRIA to combat these challenges but faces further issues when Cero appears, tied to a past gang. Ali also grapples with questions about Alicia’s history with Cero.
