Korean Digimon MMO Digimon Super Rumble has announced its release date, coming to PC later this month.
The developers announced that Digimon Super Rumble would release on November 25th, letting you jump into the world of Digimon.
The game has been open for pre-registration, with a Closed Beta also available for fans with a Korean phone number.
Taking part in the aforementioned pre-registration campaign would unlock cosmetic items for your character in the game, such as a set of fairy wings.
Digimon Super Rumble has had a pretty targeted marketing campaign, aimed at people who grew up on Digimon rather than new fans.
They’d previously released a trailer playing up the nostalgic sentiment of wanting to get back into Digimon, with plenty of references to the original Digimon Adventure anime.
The Return of Digimon
With the release of Digimon Super Rumble we’re also seeing Digimon come back in full swing: This year saw the release of the Digimon Vital Bracelet, filling in their niche of electronic pet toys, while Digimon Ghost game fills out the slot for a new anime. Meanwhile, games like Digimon New Century and Super Rumble aim to fill out the game slot.
At the same time, the Digimon TCG is also actively being supported, giving fans a multitude of ways to enjoy the Digimon IP.
