Busou Shinki R has been announced for smartphones by Konami. There was an original announcement back in 2018 regarding a new game in this series. It seems to be a tentative title for now, and apart from currently being in active development, no further details have been released.

Busou Shinki began life in 2006 as a line of action figure lines. Dubbed “God Princesses” or “Armored Princesses”, they are known to have freely customizable parts/weapons. Apart from video games, the series has also gotten an anime adaptation, music, art books and other merchandise.

The Busou Shinki games include:

• Battle Rondo
  • A free MMO that discontinued in 2011
• Battle Masters, Battle Masters Mk.2
  • A game and its sequel for the Playstation Portable
• Battle Conductor
  • An arcade game

Would this be a game you’re looking forward to? Presumably the mobile Busou Shinki R game would at least keep the customizable parts the series is known for. In that case, an RPG would seem like the best fit for such a system, with gacha elements for parts and also perhaps the base characters. Whatever it is, speculating at this point in time with virtually no information would not be very fruitful, so fans of the series can just keep an eye out to learn more.
