It looks like GTA 6 pre-orders may be just days away. An email from Best Buy’s affiliate program, spotted live on camera by YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming during a stream, revealed that a pre-order campaign for physical copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 would run from May 18 to 21, with affiliates set to earn a 5% commission for every sale made through their links.

Since then, other Best Buy affiliates have come forward confirming they received the same email, which points to Best Buy preparing to open GTA 6 pre-orders starting Monday, May 18.
The timing has caught the attention of the gaming community, with many noting that May 21 is also the date of Take-Two Interactive’s Q4 2026 earnings conference call. A new trailer or official announcement dropping around the same time would give the company something concrete to reference during its results presentation and its Financial Year 2027 outlook, and would address investor questions about the game’s status ahead of the Q&A portion of the call.

GTA 6 is currently planned for a November 19, 2026 release on console, with a PC version possibly slated for a later date. The game has been delayed twice, first from a 2025 window to May 2026, and then pushed again to its current November date.
