Gameplay Group has announced that Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will receive a closed alpha test, though specific dates have not been revealed yet. The test will include four playable characters from the Avatar universe: Aang, Korra, Katara, and Zuko.
The upcoming fighter is a one-versus-one game based on the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. According to Gameplay Group International, the game aims to deliver fluid and responsive combat with strong online performance. At launch, players will have access to 12 fighters, each with different bending styles. The developer plans to add more characters after release through a seasonal content model. The game also features support characters that can change how players fight and provide special moves.

Combat centers around the Flow System, a mechanic that focuses on movement and encourages creative, rhythm-based fighting. Gameplay Group says more details about features and gameplay mechanics will be shared closer to the launch date.
Beyond competitive play, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will include a single-player campaign with an original story, along with Combo Trials and a Gallery Mode containing concept art, animations, and music. Online matches will support rollback netcode and full cross-play between platforms.
The fans from Kyoshi are all fired up for the fights!
