GRYPHLINE and Mountain Contour will release the free-to-play 3D RPG Arknights: Endfield version 1.1 update, titled “Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied,” on March 12. The update adds new operators, gameplay systems, and quality-of-life improvements. The developers created it after the game’s launch exceeded expectations in player engagement and activity.
Producer Light Zhong explained, “Arknights: Endfield’s global player count, playtime, and in-game activity levels have all greatly exceeded our expectations. Version 1.1 responds directly to the community’s rapid engagement.”
New Operators and Hydro-Industrialization

The update introduces two new 6-star operators. Tangtang, a Caster, deals AOE Cryo damage and supports squads. Her Ultimate, DA CHIEF SEES YOU!, immobilizes enemies, including bosses, creating damage windows for strategic plays. Rossi, a Guard, converts Arts Infliction into Vulnerability. This makes her vital for Physical-focused teams.

Version 1.1 also brings the hydro-industrialization system. Players can now use Hydro Mining Rigs to collect Cuprium, a new resource powered by water flow instead of electricity. New conduits and Water Treatment Units expand logistics. The Forges of the Sky expansion increases placement limits to four units, boosting endgame resource production.
Expanded Story and World

The update opens the Qingbo Stockade in the Wuling Area. Players follow the Endministrator as tensions rise with Nefarith and Ardashir. Story missions explore the conflict between the Stockade and Wuling City.

The update also enhances player rewards. Beginners gain Chartered Headhunting Permits through milestone missions. Sign-in events, like Gently Flows Qingbo and Pearl of the Pack, offer limited-time rewards. The Protocol Pass now provides periodic Basic Headhunting Permits. Endgame gear optimization improves with the Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit, allowing three custom stats for operator Essences.
Quality-of-Life Improvements

Version 1.1 upgrades the user experience based on community feedback. Controller users can now move facilities more easily. The exploration HUD shows maps while using ziplines. Operators now start Protocol Spaces at full HP and Ultimate Energy. Enemy attack telegraphs are clearer during combat.
Mountain Contour plans version 1.2, which will expand Talos-II, add new maps, introduce an outpost, and bring a fluid-based production system. Players will also face a new siege at Xiranite Dam.
